Cleaning for Your Body!
Spring Cleaning
for Your Body!
by Laura Lewis
If cleaning your home in the Spring gives
you a tremendous feeling of "newness" or
freshness, just imagine what you would feel
like if you gave your body a dose of
"Spring cleaning"!
You can get rid of toxins that have accumulated
in your body over the past several months
or even years with a good "cleanse"!
You got it! A cleanse or a fast of sorts
can purge your body of the byproducts of
over eating or eating processed foods, drinking
alcohol or soft drinks, taking drugs, drinking
unclean water, breathing polluted air, etc..
Results you can expect after following a "Spring
Cleaning" program include a decrease
in body fat, an increase in energy, a calmer
digestive system, your skin will look clearer
and you’ll sleep more soundly!
Here’s
the Spring Cleaning program I recommend!
It’s called the "Seneca
Indian Cleansing Diet".
First Day: Eat only fruits
and all you want. Try apples, berries, watermelon,
pears, peaches, cherries, whole citrus fruits,
and so forth. No bananas.
Second day: Drink all the
herb teas you desire, such as raspberry,
hyssop, chamomile, or peppermint. You may
sweeten the tea slightly with honey or maple
sugar.
Third day: Eat all the
vegetables you want. Have them raw, steamed
or both. No Butter or Margarine!!
Fourth day: Make a big
pot of vegetable broth by boiling cauliflower,
cabbage, onion, green pepper, parsley, or
whatever you have available. Season with
sea salt or vegetable broth cubes. Drink
only this rich mineral broth all day long.
The impact of this diet is as follows. The
first day the colon is cleansed. The second
day you release toxins, salt, and excessive
calcium deposits in the muscles, tissue and
organs. The third day the digestive tract
is supplied with healthful, mineral rich
bulk. On the fourth day the blood, lymph,
and inner organs are mineralized. You may
experience a mild headache and fatigue during
the first day or two. By the end of the fourth
day you should feel energized. After completing
this "diet", ease back into eating
with a concentration on fresh, raw foods.
Happy Spring!
*It is recommended that you check with your
Physician or primary health care provider
before embarking upon this or any other diet
program.
** Follow this "diet" no more
than 4 days.
